The first thing you hear is the sound of rain faintly hitting the exterior of the house. The soft pitter-patter is almost soothing, in a way, but it’s quickly followed up by rumbling thunder in the distance. You open your eyes, and for a second all you see is a flash of light--at first it seems like it’s lightning, but then you see something. A vision of a man dressed in rags, hunched over, waves of demonic power rolling over him. He howls, and something terrible starts to grow out of him: the bloody roots of a massive tree. An immense wave of panic hits you, and you can’t move, you can’t speak, you can’t breathe--

And then it’s over. It’s over. You’re fine.

The sound of rain returns. (This time it’s definitely soothing, compared to what you just saw.) You’re standing in the foyer of a mansion, a wide open living room in front of you. The door behind you is faintly ajar, leading outside.

Glory’s collage is easily the biggest out of all the collages; there are numerous pictures of her, many of which show her smiling in a way that feels secretive, private, especially since most of these look like they took place in her room. Some of them are a tad risque, and some of them are intimate in a different way--pictures of her brushing her hair while she’s getting dressed, or pictures of her holding Raven’s hand in her own.

okay time to go through the mirror.]

The room opens up to what appears to be a lake shore--black smooth stones carved with unknowable runes line the rocky shores, and the water is inscrutable, glassy and dark. Occasionally ripples spread, emanating as if something large and unknown is moving beneath the surface. The bed is in the usual ☆Zrael style, placed now upon a short pier with a nightstand beside it. Nearby is a natural hot spring. IT SHOULD ALL SEEM VERY FAMILIAR TO YOU, FOR SOME REASON,

Sitting on the bed wearing his usual ☆Zrael attire is Raven. He smiles as he sees you enter.

[FOR SOME REASON. At least she'll be able to notice if anything seems out of place, probably,]

...Ah. Hi.

"Hi," he smiles at you. It's a little... weird, actually, how genuinely happy he looks. His features are all the same--he looks like the same goth twink you've always known--but he seems so... content.

[...she walks over to sit on the bed with him]

What are you up to...?

He leans his head on your shoulder.

"Not much. Just relaxing. It's nice here."

It is. I'm glad for that.

[pets his hair a bit]

...I hear something's gone wrong, though. Have you noticed anything...?

"There's something missing from in there." He points to the mirror you came out of. "But otherwise, I haven't noticed anything."

...Well, that's good, probably. Are you safe in here?

"Yes. I'm always safe here."

He nuzzles your shoulder.

...Good.

[a kiss for this Raven too, pressed into his hair]

Then I shouldn't stay long. There are things I should take care of.

He makes a pleased noise.

"Alright. I'll be here."

...Yeah. I'll see you.

[she stands up and gives a parting peck to his lips before heading back for the door]

"See you. I love you."

[but! business!! back out to the bathroom to look at that suspicious hole a little closer!]

The hole is right underneath Sabre's collage. Sabre’s collage is mostly filled with pictures of her sitting or sleeping on Raven’s feet, from his perspective. She’s grinning in a lot of them, showing fangs. One of the pictures moves, and it depicts a short scene of her handing Raven a dagger. Another shows him falling over onto the floor as he fails to carry her piggyback-style, and she sits on him.

The hole in the wall is actually more like an ensconced slot underneath Sabre’s portrait. It’s thin, and only about an inch and a half lengthwise. It looks like something could fit inside.
