But as her mind settles down a little more, she remembers what started this in the first place. And remembers that she cannot, probably, just lay on top of him forever so he doesn't get taken away.

In trying not to display distress, her body goes a little too still, and slightly tenser.]

[She takes a few deliberate slow breaths and settles again, petting his hair.]
