SUMMARY: This is a pretty straightforward memory, and yet a vague one as well. Basically this memory is the ?years? that Vergil was captured and tortured by Mundus, the former king of the Underworld. Vergil is around 19-20 years old. He goes through a lot, enough pain and brainwashing that he loses his sense of self. He fights it for a remarkably long time, holding out through sheer stubbornness, but with Yamato broken and lost, and his strength gone, he eventually succumbs.
The end result is Vergil being turned into a mindless fighting drone called Nero Angelo. His will, identity, and memories still exist--but they are basically trapped inside a walking suit of armor.
